Fabrico Builders is developing civil construction projects in Ghana and is looking for a Quality assurance officer to join our team. We are able to offer a great benefits package, as well as opportunities for growth within the company.
you will be the guardian of quality, responsible for setting the standards and verifying compliance throughout the entire project lifecycle. Your duties will be broad, encompassing all critical aspects of site management.
The duties and responsibilities of the Project Manager will be to:
Sites
- Be present for and witness mandatory material testing
- Inspect all incoming materials delivered to the site, ensuring they match the specified type, grade, and possess the necessary certifications.
- Perform continuous surveillance and random inspections of work-in-progress (WIP) to proactively catch non-compliance before major defects occur.
Stores Management
- Inspect all materials delivered to the site for quantity, damage, and compliance with specifications.
- Inspect laydown areas and stores to confirm materials are correctly handled, stored, and protected from damage, weather, or contamination
- Completing a weekly stock take, identifying tools or equipment in need of repair or write off, to inform the weekly report and forecast.
- Ensure the Procurement & Logistics Manager is provided with sufficient notice when plant and equipment are free to go to another site.
Reporting
- Maintain a complete and organized set of all Quality Records
- Prepare regular Quality Reports for management, summarizing compliance status and trends.
Quality Control
- Prior to the commencement of site works, work with the Project Manager to gain an understanding of the relevant project specifications and drawings.
- On an ongoing basis, monitor all works against specifications to ensure the continuing quality and accuracy of work performed.
- Work with the site supervisor to rectify any defects, mistakes, errors, contamination or variations.
Qualification Required & Experience
- Demonstrable commitment to the aims and objectives of the projects.
- Dynamic self-starter, able to work to pre-defined targets on own initiative
- Strong communication skills
- Good organisational skills, good prioritisation skills
- Good report writing skills
- Strong team player but must have the ability to work independently.
- Must have atleast 5yrs of working experience in Real Estate or the construction Industry
- Bachelor’s degree in a construction related field
