Construction Project Manager
Fabrico Builders is developing civil construction projects in Ghana is looking for a Project Manager to join our team. We are able to offer a great benefits package, as well as opportunities for growth within the company.
The duties and responsibilities of the Project Manager will be to:
- Manage the projects collaborating with project stakeholders to define project goals, scope and deliverables.
- Manage sub-contractors and suppliers and mitigate issues that may arise in the course of a project.
- Work in partnership with the Production Manager to deliver a high-quality finished product while managing the schedule and budget.
- manage labour, materials, and equipment, cost coding, submittals, schedules, meeting minutes, change orders, etc.
- Being client-facing – meeting with architects, sub-contractors, production manager, site manager, foreman to manage project issues and maintain positive working relationships
- Ensuring successful project delivery, profitability, and client satisfaction, fostering long-term client relationships.
- Presenting regular progress reports to the upper executive and stakeholders.
- Maintaining stringent health, safety, and environmental standards, exceeding regulatory requirements.
- Conducting regular project status reviews and resource schedule meetings, ensuring effective communication and coordination.
- Striving for a zero lost-time accident record and ensuring meticulous project administration and contract management.
- Degree in construction management, civil engineering, or a related field; advanced degree preferred.
- 5-10 years experience in the construction field, preferably in Project Management, with a focus on civil/industrial projects.
- Extensive working knowledge and understanding of construction and processes involved in construction.
- Demonstrated success in managing complex projects, showcasing strong project delivery capabilities.
- Expertise in continuous improvement methodologies and value-added constructability practices.
- Experience working in joint venture settings during both preconstruction and construction phases.
- Proven ability to ensure project profitability, retain clients, and drive business growth.
- Exceptional leadership skills, with a track record of influencing, mentoring, and coaching team members.
- Ability to thrive in a dynamic environment with frequent changes, displaying adaptability and resilience.
- Commitment to recruiting, developing, and retaining top talent, delegating responsibilities effectively.
- Strong interpersonal, communication, and negotiation skills, with proficiency in English
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving abilities, with a keen attention to detail.
- Ability to manage multiple priorities, work under pressure, and meet tight deadlines.
- Great team player, as well as the ability to work independently.
- Client service orientation, able to build and maintain solid relationships with vendors and clients.
- Ability to organise and prioritise work – track schedules, change orders, field reports, weekly progress reports.
- Strong knowledge of computing skills: Microsoft, Project, AutoCAD, Revit, Sage, finance software, data analysis and reporting, Excel, Teams, Zoom, etc.
